Genaral Information of BBA

Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) program was started in 2002 to achieve the objectives of FOM. In addition to the goals of FOM, BBA program itself has certain mission and objectives.

Mission

To develop socially responsive, creative, and result oriented management professionals to fill up the middle level managerial positions in the rapidly growing business sector in Nepal and abroad.

Objectives

  • Prepare students to take up middle level managerial positions in the business sector.
  • Develop students’ skill in object-oriented business management capable of understanding and solving practical business problems creatively.
  • Provide professional management education with a blend of computer and management information system courses.
  • Prepare students to proceed onto post graduate level study in business administration.

In order to achieve the above mentioned objectives students are taught different subjects related to different fields like computer, social sciences and of course management. In every semester there are five subjects except in the last semester. In the last semester students have to do the internship equivalent to six credit hours.

Internship is the act of connecting theory and practical. Although teaching pedagogy of BBA program is activity oriented like project work, lab work, term papers, exercises etc more than the lecture, it is not enough to give the students the real working experience in an organization. So internship acts as a tool to students by the help of which they can apply the knowledge they have gained in the class room to the real working field.

Curricular Structure

The BBA Program comprises of the following four course components

Managemet and Allied Courtses 72 Credit Hours
Specialisation area Courses 24 Credit Hours
